
Adelaide Arcade
Adelaide Arcade was built in 1885 and is Adelaide’s most beautiful shopping precinct. Home to more than 100 specialty retail outlets across its ground floor and balcony level, the Arcade continues to charm locals and visitors alike with its rich heritage and unique retail offering.
In 2025, Adelaide Arcade proudly marks its 140th anniversary. We’re thrilled to continue our long-standing partnership with the Arcade through the development of commemorative branding that pays tribute to its ornate Victorian architecture and enduring place at the heart of Adelaide’s cultural landscape. A new tagline captures the milestone: Adelaide Arcade – An Icon Since 1885.
To celebrate, a year-long campaign of events and activations will culminate in a special anniversary celebration on December 12, 2025.
Detour has has worked closely with Adelaide Arcade for over 15 years, creating integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns spanning digital and traditional platforms—including social media, website and digital advertising, signage and wayfinding, print collateral and press advertising.
Over this time we revitalised the Adelaide Arcade brandmark that captures the essence of the arcade - using the iconic dome architecture in conjunction with a colour palette directly influenced by the interior finishes. This distinctive approach has been applied consistently across all touchpoints, reinforcing the unique charm of the Adelaide Arcade shopping experience.
